Interpret KAWALA’s new album title ‘Better With You’ and create a piece of art that represents it.

Check out this amazing challenge for British-band, KAWALA!

The lowdown: KAWALA are celebrating the launch of their new album ‘Better With You’ (out March 4th) and they want you to design artwork that represents the album title. Before you get creating, think about what 'Better With You' means to you and get inspired by the band on Instagram and Spotify!

How to submit: Sign up to Untitled and then submit here! We'd also love you to post your artwork across your social channels using the hashtags #betterwithyou and #kawala!

The prizes:

KAWALA and their team will award their favourite entries with some incredible prizes, including..

  • a private virtual acoustic session with the band, along with a 5 minute Q&A
  • tickets to the bands upcoming tour
  • tour merchandise

  • There is no limit to what you can create! Drawings, photos, videos, anything at all that is inspired by the album title 'Better With You'.

  • You must be aged 13 - 18 to participate in this brief.

  • Please make sure you are happy to have your work made public on our social channels before entering.

Do's
  • Do be daring and adventurous with your designs - there are no wrong/bad ideas.
  • Do post your artwork on social media using the hashtags #betterwithyou and #kawala when you submit.
  • Do take inspiration from KAWALA's website - have a listen to their music.
  • Do share more than one submission - If you want, you can submit up to 15 designs - we know creativity isn’t limited. Remember to send all design ideas separately.

  • Do follow KAWALA on socials (Instagram, Twitter, TikTok + Facebook).

  • Do follow Untitled on to be part of a growing creative community.

  • Do share this with your school, teachers, friends, and family and spread the word.

2 submissions will be chosen by KAWALA and their team at Universal Music Group as Selected Young Creators meaning:

  • Their work will be noticed by the band and their label!

  • They will have a private virtual acoustic session with the band, followed by a 5 minute Q&A.

  • They will receive 3x tickets to see KAWALA live.

    • Please note we will not be providing transport and accommodation.

  • They will have their work posted on Untitled social channels.

  • They might be featured in KAWALA's virtual art gallery using #betterwithyou and #kawala.

3 submissions will also be chosen by KAWALA and their team at Universal Music Group as Finalists, and each will:

  • Receive KAWALA merchandise!

  • Have their work posted on Untitled social channels.

  • Potentially feature in KAWALA's virtual art gallery using #betterwithyou and #kawala.

When the brief closes for creator selection on Tuesday 19th April 2022, the Untitled team will review all submissions to date and announce the Final Selected Creators.

'Hey, we're KAWALA! we are so excited to announce our new album 'Better With You'! and we want you guys to get involved by creating art pieces that show how you all interpret our album title 'Better With You'. Have fun!'

North London duo Jim (vocals) and Daniel (acoustic guitar, vocals) quickly developed a distinctive sound, deriving from their joint love of close vocal harmony, and rhythmic finger-style acoustic guitar, the pair started writing songs inspired by the likes of Bombay Bicycle Club. Backed by a full band of Ben (drums), Reeve (bass) and Dan Lee (electric guitar), KAWALA have started making waves in the live scene, finding inspiration from a range of musical styles. The sound has developed through the use of afrobeat-Esque drums, atmospheric electric hooks and strong rhythmic bass, yet still maintaining the focus on the core two-part vocal and acoustic

  • Who can submit? Anyone aged 13-18 with a Young Creator account.

  • What do I need to submit? You can submit your work in the form of a digital drawing, graphic, illustration (i.e. using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or ProCreate) or even video (Mp4). You could draw, print, or paint your design by hand and submit it via a scan. If you are creating your design on a computer or tablet, the file should be exported as a .Mp4, .jpeg or pdf, and be no bigger than 10MB. It must be created by you (please don't submit anyone else's work, including friends, adults, or images you found online).

  • You can use the work you submit any way you like including school and in your creative portfolio.

  • How do I submit? At the top of this page, click 'Submit', and upload your work as a .Mp4 .JPEG or PDF. All files must be max. size 10 MB. You can submit up to 15 times.

  • Once the creative brief closes, Untitled will review all complete submissions and choose the Selected Creators. A complete submission includes your work, meets the creative brief, terms & conditions, and Official Rules.

  • Selected Creators agree to allow Untitled to use their design across online and social channels (this is an exclusive, worldwide, digital and social license).

  • Make sure the email address on your Untitled profile is correct (this will be yours or your parent/guardian's) so we can contact you about incomplete submissions or if you are a Selected Creator.

  • All complete submissions will become visible on Untitled when Selected Creators are announced. At this time, your submission and your Untitled display name will be visible to the Untitled community.

  • Please respond to Untitled emails from hello.untitled@talenthouse.com within 72 hours. If we don't hear back from you or your parent/legal guardian, you will forfeit the incentive detailed in 'The Opportunity'.

  • Untitled may remove any inappropriate, offensive, and harmful submissions from anywhere on the Untitled platform.

  • If your child is chosen as a Selected Creator, Untitled will email the Young Creator or the parent/legal guardian to notify them.
