A note from photographer Misan Harriman

'I picked up a camera three and a half years ago and I have been able to have my whisper become a shout and have my stories help shape history. You can do it. Believe in yourself and steady your sails whilst you look towards the horizon. I am relying on you to shape our future.
Good luck and be bold.'

- Misan Harriman
Photographer, Creative Director & Cultural Commentator

#MyPhotoMyFeeling is a wellbeing movement for young people to express how they are feeling, via the largest youth-led photography exhibition ever run in the United Kingdom. You don't have to live in the UK to be part of this exciting project!

All you need to do snap a photograph that captures the emotion you are feeling and share it with us to enter.

Say it

Take your time to tune in to your emotions and the words that best describe how you're feeling.

Shoot it

Find anything around you that expresses this emotion and enjoy taking your photographs (you can use anything from your phone to a professional camera).

Share it

Upload your image here via the 'Submit' button, labelled with the emotion you’re expressing (you’re welcome to send us your emotion with a longer sentence or story).

Check out this mood board for examples!

  • Your photo must be accompanied by an emotion - this can be just one word (for example ‘happiness’, ‘calm’, ‘confused’), or you might want to include something longer, a sentence, or a short story about what the image means to you - whatever you feel most comfortable with. Add this into the description box when you upload!
